Eyebrows looking like a UNIBROW????? Great place for a cheap thread

Oh heavens....who is sick of spending $20+ on a freaking eyebrow wax/thread, etc....ME!!!!   There is this no fuss little spot in the Century Mall (2828 N Clark) called Perfect Eyebrows.  The chick does an amazing job with a spool of thread and its only $7.  PLUS, there is a deal card....buy so many, get one free.

Who is SICK of mani/pedi INFLATION??????

Who is sick of the mani/pedi inflation?  I am!!!!

So I have stalked every mani/pedi place looking for a great mani/pedi on a budget.  Now I must say, I have been to many spas, etc to get mani/pedis and they just dont do as good of a job as the little chop shops.  I think for people that dont really NEED mani/pedis these foo-foo places work really nice and they think that they are getting a great deal, but in reality....for those of us that need it, they usually dont last.

So the ultimate place to get one for a budget in Chicago is Nail Spa, 1781 N Clybourn....Sun-Wed $15 pedi and Thurs-Sat $18.....such a good deal and they do a GREAT job that lasts and the place is clean.  This is my go to spot from now on.  I just cant beat it and everytime I try somewhere else, I get so annoyed that I spent $10 more on a crappier job....no thank you.  Plus, they have a card that if you buy so many, you get one for free.

Beware, they try to get you with an extra 10 minute foot massage for $8.  They do a great pedi and if you are feeling a little rough, the extra 10minute foot massage is a great deal, however, realize this is going to up the price....is it worth it.....well, I probably do it every couple of times for an extra treat.

Clothing deals, etc

Here are some of my favorite places to sign up for emails regarding great deals on clothes, etc.

Also, another great deal is Shop It To Me...they send you an email regarding all sales on the items that you pick
http://shopittome.com/index/referral/C5YZC9dOuQlRp_slIHWqIk67aA_eq_eq

Billion Dollar Babes, its a great website that emails you about great brands that are on sale (7 for all mankind, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and many, many more!!!) http://www.billiondollarbabes.com/account.phpf=invitecreate&token=1t3UoJeWmaamopg%3D&pa=bdbinvite

Beyond the Rack, its similar to Billion Dollar Babes, great website

Of course, www.overstock.com has great deals on everything and shipping is only $2.95.  Plus, they have GREAT customer service.

All time favorite beauty hot spots to get the deals

So of course, we have all heard of groupon, the email coupon deal.  If you haven't, sign up here http://www.groupon.com/r/uu37586

Two other sites:
www.youswoop.com
https://livingsocial.com/redeem_invite/2303622-leopol?ref=lnk
Again, its free to sign up and you get emailed daily "coupons" that you can purchase or not.

You want half off tickets, check this website out:

This website has everything from theater, sports events, beauty deals, etc....check it out....again, free to sign up!!!

Looking for a great place to get a deal at top notch salons:
http://chicagobeauty.com/spa_reviews.htm
Click on any of the reviews and you can read about the salon and at the bottom they have free discounts!!!!  You can find everything from mani/pedi deals to hair extensions.  Its great.  You just have to kind of look for a little bit, but if your looking to try something new, its a great place to check out reviews and get a discount!  I have to say that I have been on here and used a couple of the discounts.  Also, during the month of October, they have a TON of spas/salons that participate in breast cancer awareness.  They offer all kinds of services for ONLY $31!~  Amazing way to try stuff out and see if you like it.

The salons that stick out to me from prettycity are:
Spacio for amazing waxing, massage and facials....however, they are pricey so look for deals on here and as a side note, they had 50% all unbooked services on Mondays.  What that means is that you have to call the salon on a Monday morning and book it that day.  Whatever you book, they will give you for 50% off....cant beat that to kick off your week.
Luxe-20% off a great color and cut

Places to avoid (in my opinion)-Elizabeth Adam Day Spa & Elle Homme (you can read my reviews of these places on sleopold.yelp.com)

You want your hair done but are on a budget, well fret no longer.  Some of the great deals in the city are from cosmetology schools.  Now you have to be willing to wait and deal with people that are learning...in return you get a great deal.

http://www.pivot-point.com/student-salon-a-spa.html
If you dont like the idea of a complete rookie working on your hair, another GREAT website is
www.salonapprentice.com
These are people that have graduated from cosmetology school and usually are starting off at a high end salon and need to "prove" themselves before they actually start taking clients.  On the website there are all kinds of hair services (cuts, colors, conditioners, extensions, etc, etc, etc) and the price ranges from free on up to normal price of the service.  I have had great success with this website.

I love, love, love stylechicago.com  They have great deals on spa stuff too and you can sign up for the newsletter so its mailed right to your inbox for ease of use.  They have deals on everything.
